A New Chapter for Lewis Builders: Introducing Elements of Carmel
As we enter 2025, we’re excited to announce a major milestone for Lewis Builders. With the opening of our boutique showroom Elements of Carmel, we have begun our expansion into the elegant world of interior design. Located in The Barnyard Shopping Village in Carmel-by-the-Sea, the showroom sits in the same charming center we’ve called home for years. This new venture marks a natural evolution for us as a company, as we move from focusing primarily on construction to offering comprehensive expertise on all elements of a home.
On January 7, 2025, we officially opened the doors to Elements with a ribbon-cutting event, in partnership with the Carmel Chamber of Commerce. Celebrating alongside our clients, partners, and local community, the event was a reflection of all Elements aims for: collaboration, creativity, and a shared passion for beautiful spaces.
A New Year, A Fresh Vision
For over 25 years, Lewis Builders has crafted homes tailored to the lifestyles, needs, and goals of their clients. We’re taking that mission one step further with Elements. The new showroom brings together luxury materials, curated furnishings, and design services to help homeowners, contractors, and interior designers elevate their spaces.

The grand opening of Elements of Carmel was an unforgettable evening. At our new showroom, we welcomed guests into a space designed to inspire and invite collaboration.
A Warm Welcome
The evening began with remarks from the Carmel Chamber of Commerce, who recognized the significance of Elements for the community. They described it as a space where ideas can take shape and design dreams become reality.
Our founder John Lewis then took the stage to reflect on the journey that led to this moment.
“Elements was born from a dream: to create a space where anyone -homeowners, designers, and contractors alike – could come together to explore possibilities and create something truly unique. It’s where artistry meets innovation, and we’re so proud to share it with you.”
John also expressed gratitude to the many people who made Elements a reality, including the talented team members and trade partners who contributed their time, expertise, and materials to the project.
The Ribbon Cutting
The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Surrounded by members of the Lewis Builders and Elements teams, as well as community leaders and supporters, the Elements showroom was officially opened. John and Tammy Lewis’ sons, Kenny and Tommy, cut the ribbon, then guests were invited to explore the space, enjoy refreshments, and enter a raffle.
