A Year of Growth and Resilience
2024 is drawing to a close, and the holiday season is upon us. It’s a perfect time to pause from the year’s hard work and cherish moments with loved ones. It’s also a period for reflection and setting your ambitions for the coming year.
For us at Lewis Builders, this year was a transformative one. We celebrated our 25th anniversary and completed multiple projects in both design and construction. We also entered our first full year of Jay Davisson’s leadership as CEO. Below, you’ll find a letter from Jay himself, along with our 2024 Year in Review video.

A Letter From Jay
As 2024 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to look back on an impactful time for Lewis Builders. Shortly before the year began, I was honored to join as CEO, and every day since, I’ve been inspired by the people who make this company what it is. The energy, resilience, and sheer passion on display are nothing short of remarkable. This year has been one of rapid growth and transformation, and I’m excited to move into 2025 with the same dedication that makes Lewis Builders extraordinary.
In 2024, we celebrated a major milestone–our 25th anniversary. It’s incredible to think about how much has been accomplished since John Lewis first laid the foundation for this firm a quarter-century ago.
Over the past year alone, we’ve made great additions to our staff, and expanded with two new office locations, including the opening of our Elements of Carmel showroom.
These accomplishments would not have been possible, of course, without our wonderful crew. 2024 brought exciting changes, and through it all, they showed an adaptability and determination that I greatly admire. I am immensely proud of the expertise brought to every undertaking, and I’m confident that we have assembled the perfect team to propel us into our next phase.
2024 wasn’t only about internal evolution-it was also about continuing to deliver outstanding results for our clients. From earning the prestigious Chrysalis Award for our 15th Street project to the completion of homes like the Modern Mission Hideaway and Chic Contemporary Condo, our work always exemplifies our motto: Change Your Space. Change Your Life.®
But as we celebrate these achievements, we also pause to reflect on a profound loss that reminds us of the value of our community and the impact one person can make. This year, we experienced a personal tragedy with the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Steve Attix. Steve’s presence enriched every life he touched, and his love for education and personal betterment continues to inspire us. We created The Lifelong Learning Steve Attix Memorial Scholarship in his honor to provide support to students pursuing careers in design, construction, and related fields.
Looking ahead, I’m filled with optimism for what we can accomplish together. As we continue to build on our successes, honor the legacies that shape us, and deepen our roots in the communities we serve, I know we’re just getting started. The future is bright.
